The Afro-Asian Cooperation Council organized a series of visits to the Alliance of African Media and Human Rights, represented by the Secretary-General of the Alliance, Dr. Ben Amer Bakki, who is visiting Istanbul, Turkey. The GCC organized a work program for the visiting delegation

Where he met with a large number of media bodies and institutions, in addition to the visit of the Afro-Asian Cooperation Council.

Dr. Idris Rabouh, Responsible of the African Relations in the Council, and Mr. Mohammed Al-Najjar, Media Officer of the Council, supervised the program of visits through the preparation and coordination. This is in pursuance of the partnership agreement signed between the Afro-Asian Cooperation Council and the African Media and Rights Alliance, The visit included a group of institutions, most notably a visit by Mr. Tauran Kashlakji, Head of the House of Arab and Turkish Media, and the visit of Mr. Qutb Al Arabi, President of the Arab Observatory for Media Freedom.

In addition to the visit of the Palestinian Media Forum and the meeting of Mr. Hisham Kassem, President of the Forum, Also to a visit to Mr. Talal Jamal, official of the Yemeni Media Association in Turkey and the media and cultural adviser to the Embassy of Yemen in Turkey.

The Afro-Asian Cooperation Council also organized a meeting between the Alliance of African Media and Lawyers and the Association of Egyptian Media Professionals Abroad. The alliance was attended by Mr. Ben Amer Bakki, Secretary General of the Alliance and Berkane Said, Representative of the Alliance in Turkey. Mr. Mohamed Mohieddin, Vice President of the Egyptian Media Association Abroad Majed Abdullah, And a member of the Association, This meeting was an opportunity for mutual contact between the two bodies and means of cooperation between them.

The Cooperation Council also organized a meeting of the Secretary-General of the Alliance of African Media and Jurists, Mr. Ben Amer Bakki, with the President of the Khairaldin Forum, Mr. Mohamed Al-Aqrabi. After that a workshop was held on a dialogue program on the London Dialogue Channel. The Afro-Asian Cooperation Council also organized a seminar for the Secretary-General of the Alliance of African Media and Human Rights on “Al-Sharq” channel and  that was the last event  of his program in Turkey, which was supervised by the Afro-Asian Cooperation Council.

The Afro-Asian Cooperation Council is a civil society foundation, working in the field of building relations and cooperation between the countries of Asia and Africa, as well as cooperation in serving the nation’s issues, especially the issue of Jerusalem and Palestine.
